This Landy was parked off 14 years ago when it failed MOT for a bad front spring hanger. Roll forward 14 years, I bought the vehicle, trailered it to my premises, gave it a wash, put in a new battery and started it up. It has continued to run, sweet as nut, ever since. I also recommissioned the clutch and can now drive it (on a private farm road!). I can confirm drive in all gears in high and low ratio. Also all the electrics seem to work. Mostly complete and original, this vehicle has not been molested and is good to restore.
1. Full chassis replacement recommended or at least front spring hanger, back cross member and the out-riggers need replacement.
2. Baulk-head could be rescued but again might be best to replace.
3. Keys are missing. Currently hot-wired to start. Will need replacement steering lock and doors locks.
4. No foot brake. Hand brake is operative.
5. All rubbers are perished and will need to be replaced.
6. Comes with a Fairey Overdrive (not tested) and free-wheeling hubs.
7. Loads of spare parts including set of new back springs; original hardtop side panels, two owner manuals, etc.
8. Ignition wires, etc., need a tidy up. Dash board top section is cracked and will need repair.
9. Needs painting and new tyres.
10. Upholstery needs attention.
11. V5 present and HPI clear.
12. Vehicle is sold “spares or repair” and no warranty or return applies.
We offer a classic car restoration service should you be interested.
We can also trailer the Landy to you at a cost of £1.50/mile (mainland UK only).
