FOR SALE: 1986 LAND ROVER 90 V8 STATION WAGON (RESTORED)
We are delighted to offer for sale this rare FACTORY Land Rover 90 V8 Station Wagon. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the best and highly desirable early Land Rover 90 V8s.
This is a genuine UK market V8 as it has the cloth seats and decals on the sides. First registered March 1986.
This 90 also remains on its original chassis and axles along with its original engine and has been well maintained over the years.
Under the bonnet is a 3.5-litre V8 with a five-speed manual gearbox (all original to the car). This is a numbers matching car with its original chassis.
This Land Rover underwent restoration a few years ago, the complete vehicle was overhauled including the engine and gearbox. It goes without saying that the condition is as good as it was the day it came out the factory.
Finished in Trident Green, with a white roof and a fabric-trimmed cabin, as it came out the factory in 1986 and fitted with the original ROSTYLE 16-inch steels wheels (which have been restored and banded [widened]), fitted with brand new BF Goodrich T/A KO2 All Terrain tyres.
There are no known mechanical or electrical faults. Everything operates as it should, from the lights to all the interior gauges.
The 90 drives really well with a smooth engine and gearbox. During its restoration the SU carbs were replaced with superior Holley carbs.
It?s a real joy to drive, no shakes or rattles, steers very well, doesn?t wonder all over the road. The engine is smooth and sounds superb (also helps that the centre silencer was removed), the gear changes are smooth and the four wheel drive and low range and diff lock engage as they should. This has to be one of the best original 90 V8s (restored) out there.
This Land Rover has really been cared for and cherished by its previous owners.
Also supplied with the vehicle is the original handbook from 1986, along with a collection of MOT test certificates, keys.
Goes without saying that this Land Rover is HPI clear and will be supplied with a fresh 12-month MOT.
We will put it through the workshop and carry out a full service prior to sale.
It is UK registered and eligible for export to the USA.
