Restoration project! Mostly complete and original except for the engine, which is a 4 cylinder 3.2L Perkins Diesel (more power and higher revving than the original Land Rover diesel engine). We have got the engine started and it idles and revs very nicely. Free-wheeling hubs. Chassis is rotten! The baulk-head might be saved with a lot of welding, but probably not worth the effort. Doors are shot. Keys are missing. Body panels are nice and straight and good to use. Comes with a spare chassis, which is solid and good but may need some tidying up as the welds are a bit rough. Also comes with a donor vehicle, which is a rolling chassis with a Series 3 baulk-head and an original Series petrol engine. The chassis has been welded but is in very good condition and is ready to use. Likewise the baulk-head is in very good condition. We have got the petrol engine to start and it idles and revs very nicely. Also includes new suspension springs all round. Comes with front fenders, load tub, bonnet, two good doors, a new fuel tank and a raft of spares and bits. We estimate you should have 90% to 95% of what you will need to make one complete, excellent, Series 3 Land Rover, with bits left over to sell. Choice of engine. Choice of body (currently a panel van). Choice of colour and finish. Delivery, mainland UK only, can be arranged at £1.50 per mile (per vehicle with the chassis being delivered separately to make a third trip). I have the V5C for both vehicles. £5,000 for the whole lot. Please contact me if you would love to have a fully restored Series 3 but not sure you have the knowledge, time or the space to do this yourself, as I can arrange this through my business.
